£1,100 Raised for Comic Relief

Posted: 23rd March 2015

Members of the School Council took to the College kitchens to make a large collection of ‘red nose muffins’ for Comic Relief. The sale of these cakes, sweets and 300 red noses, along with donations from pupils and staff to ‘wear something red for Red Nose Day’ resulted in a fantastic £1,100 being raised for Comic Relief. With the Government doubling the money raised by schools this year, Mount Kelly College has raised enough to provide mosquito nets for 880 children in places like Uganda where malaria is a huge problem; a simple solution for a life threatening disease.
