1st XII Netball Team vs Shebbear

Posted: 4th March 2015

The 1st XII Netball team played against Shebbear on Saturday 28th February. The team drew 25 all in what was a very fast paced end to end game. Mount Kelly were behind at the end of quarters 2 and 3, but played as a team and backed each other up in all areas of the court. Lauren Ross played some fantastic balls into the shooters Meg and Claudia who shot well under pressure from the Shebbear defence. Georgia Donnelly, taking the Centre position for the first time, adjusted well to the change and played well in both attack and defence. Fran Payne made her debut for the 1st team slotting in well at the wing defence position picking up valuable interceptions for her team. Lauren Dawe and Rosannah Morel made it difficult for the Shebbear attack to get balls into their shooters and were picking up any rebounded shots. During the last quarter Mount Kelly went to being 3 goals behind but showed their resilience by coming back to make it a well-deserved draw. Well done to all the players.
