Abbot’s Way

Posted: 14th October 2016

At 7am on the 9th October, on a beautifully sunny Autumn day, Mount Kelly's Ten Tors hopefuls began their training with the annual pilgrimage along the Abbot's Way. Having missed the official walk due to Exeat, the navigation became more challenging as the groups had no one to follow; however, they negotiated the central 20km of the route confidently. The 16 35mile pupils were superbly led by five of our 55mile contenders, who helped them with their navigation and shared their experiences from previous years, whilst the eight-man 45mile team worked independently.

Many thanks to the adult support team who shadowed and check-pointed the groups throughout the day.
