Cornish Weekend for Boarders

Posted: 3rd March 2015

On Sunday 1st March a group of senior boarders enjoyed a day on one of Cornwall’s most beautiful coastlines. Enjoying the early spring sunshine, they walked from Polzeath to Rock to catch the ferry over to Padstow where they had fish and chips on the harbour quay. The weather turned on the final stretch of the walk to Hawker’s Cove but it did not dampen their spirits as they were able to dry off and warm up with a cup of tea and cake before heading home.

On the same day Mr Newton took the junior boarders on a Cornish adventure to explore Bodmin Jail. With its history of hauntings and a chill in the atmosphere, the children had a fun, educational and rather ‘spooky’ trip. The children used ghost trapping equipment and caught a ghostly picture too!
