Go4SET National Finals

The Product Design Department entered two Year 9 Mount Kelly teams into the Go4SET (Go 4 Science Engineering and Technology) scheme. Following a twelve week programme of study and working closely with two Babcock Graduate Engineers, our pupils recently presented their research, design proposals, architectural models and feasibility reports for two new ‘Eco-Hotels’ at the Go4SET Assessment Day at Plymouth University.

Many congratulations to Team A (Ellie Pile, Lola Francis, Flora Germon, Edward Cull, William Martin and Oscar Claire) who not only won the Pupils Choice Award Cup (voted by all the pupils at the event to be the best project at the event) but have gained a place in the Go4SET National Final in Birmingham next March. Mount Kelly will be one of only two schools from the South West of England represented.
