Independent Schools Climbing Competition

Posted: 9th March 2017

After a very early start, six Mount Kelly climbers and two members of staff made their way to Reading Climbing Centre to participate in the annual Independent Schools' Climbing Competition. This event sees aspirants from 20 schools put through their paces on top rope, lead climbing and bouldering problems of increasing difficulty.

This was the first time Mount Kelly has taken part in the competition, and many congratulations go to Toby Stanyer for his Silver Medal in the lead climbing category and to the team of Toby, Ellie Stanyer, Jake Warren, Katie Birchell, George Bowles and Lily Adams for a very respectable performance.
