Mount Kelly Ski Trip – Nassfeld, Austria
43 Mount Kelleians left Devon in pouring rain one Sunday morning at 5 am, and returned a week later on Easter Sunday in glorious sunshine:  an excellent metaphor for the holiday itself which was a wonderful experience for all concerned!
28 children had the time of their lives on the beautiful slopes of Nassfeld, an Austrian resort just over the Italian border.  From the excitement of flying into Venice, and seeing the city spread out beneath us, to the hair raising switchback coach ride up the mountains to our hotel; from the delicious Slovenian influenced food in our hotel and at every lunch time in our mountain top restaurant; from the nursery slopes to the experts’ snow park – all was great fun and taken in great spirit by everyone on the trip.  The parents who accompanied us were fantastic, always there to look after all the children in the daytime, and enjoy the odd glass of wine or beer in the evening …. We cannot thank them enough for their sterling support.

Altogether it was a super trip; the injuries and ailments were relatively minor (and ably dealt with by lovely Matron, Sue Croucher) and the sun shone for many of the days.  Our thanks to all involved for making it such a pleasurable week.
