Nursery Forest School

Posted: 8th October 2021

Nursery children take part in forest school most days at Mount Kelly. This term they have been learning about the importance of trees for shelter and for wildlife, carrying out their own research and reading The Busy Tree together.

The children have been down to the woods this week to toast marshmallows on the campfire, talk about fire safety and make homes for woodland animals using sticks and leaves. These outdoor learning sessions increase pupils’ confidence and foster an adventurous and curious approach to learning.
