Mount Kelly is delighted to announce that the School has been shortlisted in three categories of the TES Independent School Awards. These highly prestigious awards are open to 2,500 independent schools across the UK, and celebrate outstanding innovation and achievement in independent education.

Mount Kelly, born from the 2014 merger of Mount House School, Kelly College, and Kelly’s stand-alone prep school, is going from strength to strength, and these awards celebrate the commitment and energy of all those charged with bringing the merger to a successful outcome.

The three categories in which Mount Kelly has been recognised are:

  • Senior Leadership Team of the Year
  • Governing Body of the Year
  • Financial/Commercial Initiative of the Year

Head Master, Mark Semmence, comments, “The Governing Body, Senior Leadership Team and the whole Mount Kelly community have shown unwavering commitment to the merger, and embraced the opportunities that it has presented.  The increase in pupil numbers over the last two years, outstanding A Level and GCSE results, the opening of a new 50m Olympic Legacy pool, and significant investment in the fabric of the School are all testament to the success of the merger.

This is a very exciting time for Mount Kelly, and I am delighted that the hard work of our Governing Body and Senior Leadership Team have been recognised; this is just the beginning, however, and we will continue to drive for ever higher standards and to encourage similar ambition in our pupils.”
