Year 10 Art GCSE Field Trip

Posted: 28th September 2018

Year 10 Art GCSE pupils enjoyed some wonderful weather for their field trip to St Ives on Wednesday 26 September.

Pupils spent quality sketch time in the Tate looking at the work of Patrick Heron, Peter Lanyon and Alfred Wallis to name but a few. They climbed many hills and drew from the fantastic heights of St Nicholas chapel, looking out over Porthgwidden beach and beyond. The day was rounded off with some harbour sketch work and time in the Barbara Hepworth sculpture gardens. The work produced will provide strong coursework starting points for GCSE Art.
