Mount Kelly Welcomes New Principal Deputy Head

Posted: 9th January 2015

We are delighted to welcome Adam Reid BSc, PGCE who takes up the post of Principal Deputy Head at Mount Kelly.
Adam was educated at Cranleigh and took a degree in Medieval and Modern History at Birmingham University.  After six years soldiering he spent two years working in commercial property investment in the City, before completing his PGCE at Oxford.

During the course of thirteen busy years at Dauntsey’s School in Wiltshire he ran a day house, a boarding house, and the History Department, coached a range of sports – including the Devizes to Westminster Canoe Race – and led a number of overseas expeditions, both historical and adventurous.

For the last three years he has been Head of History at Christ’s Hospital.  His interests are distance running, hill walking, watersports, looking after an old cottage in Cornwall, and chasing his children around the garden.  He also plays the clarinet very badly.

He and Fran have been married for fourteen years and have two children – Barnaby (9) and Iona (7), both of whom have just started at Mount Kelly.
