Fundraising for Charity

Posted: 16th March 2015

Friday 13th March saw Prep pupils celebrate a day of fundraising. Children (and staff) came dressed in their pyjamas or onesies. The tutor groups did well soliciting small change from home (5AL won the prize for collecting the most coins) and the end of a hard week was celebrated with a delicious cup of tea and cake at the vintage tea party. Cakes galore were sold and eaten, the chocolate/sweet tombola tempted many, and bargains were to be had at the second hand toy stall. Special mention must go to Finlay Barker in year 5 who made a fantastic red nose day funny face gluten free cake, which was auctioned off for an incredible £18.

Well done to the pupils on the School Council and Mrs Lowther for organising the event. An impressive £850.53 was raised, which will be shared between South West Children’s Hospice (St Austell) and Water Aid.
