Mount Kelly Swim Squad had three competitors at the Exeter University Aquathlon on Sunday 17th May.
In the Girls’ Youth/Junior event, Mount Kelly had Victoria Moore (15) and Phoebe Lloyd Evans (17) completing a 600m swim followed by a 5k hilly run. Victoria finished the event in a time of 29 minutes and 31seconds, a performance that won her top place in the Youth/Junior Section. For Victoria this was a 1 minute 8 second improvement from last year’s event. Phoebe was placed second in 30minutes and 57 seconds. It was great to see Mount Kelly in the top two places – well done girls!
In the Boys’ Youth/Junior event, Guy Purbrick (14) competed over the same distance as the girls (600m swim, 5k run) and finished in 30 minutes and 52 seconds to claim the bronze medal.
Congratulations to all three, Victoria, Phoebe and Guy for their great performances.
