U9 and U11 Cross Country St Petroc’s

Posted: 12th February 2016

The Mount Kelly Under 9 and Under 11 cross country teams had an outstanding day at the St Petroc's cross country championships held on the coast at Bude. With 20 schools taking part and approximately 100 runners in each race this was a big event! Unbelievably, three out of the four races were won by Mount Kelly pupils (Daisy Heal, James Lamb and Amelia Riggott) and three out of the four team races were claimed by Mount Kelly! A record was set with all 7 of the U11 Mount Kelly girls finishing in the top 13 positions!

What was most pleasing though was the efforts of every runner and the fantastic team spirit shown in encouraging team mates throughout the afternoon.
