G04SET

Posted: 11th March 2016

On Thursday 10th March our two Go4SET team visited the STEM centre at Plymouth City College for a hands-on educational workshop into good ‘Display’ and ‘Presentation’ techniques, led by Adam Robinson, an accomplished Marine Biologist and very humorous speaker. The teams created and discussed mind maps of what makes a good display and presentation, were shown an entertaining example of 'How not to Present to an audience’, which was followed up by their own videoed presentations about the Fairtrade initiative. This was an important visit for the teams in preparation for the Go4SET Presentation day in May at Plymouth University.

STEM is a countrywide initiative to encourage students into Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics careers. Go4SET, a national, fun, hands on scheme, aims to encourage Year 9 students to consider STEM careers in the future.
