Training for Ten Tors

Posted: 5th March 2021

Pupils in Year 9-12 have been training remotely for the Ten Tors event which will hopefully go ahead in May. The event will be condensed into single day walks due to COVID-19 restrictions on overnight stays, however will still prove a decent challenge.

Pupils are completing walks with family, testing their navigation and starting to get used to walking with a big pack again. They are also tackling weekly mental challenges including navigation and countryside code quizzes. This week, pupils have been tested on their Dartmoor knowledge and attempted the 2020 OS Maps Challenge.
