It was a strong all round performance to start off our cricket national cup campaign on Thursday 4 May. Mount Kelly began with a 9-wicket win over Queen’s College, ending at 145 with 1.2 over to spare and only losing one wicket, with an outstanding knock from George R in his maiden first team 50 finishing on 61 Not Out. Ben A was also in the runs with a brilliant 42 Not Out. Sadly, the rain got the better of our second game against Plymouth College which will be rescheduled within the next couple of weeks.
The U17 cricket team also won their first round of the National Cup away at Queen’s College on the evening of Friday 5 May. It was a strong team performance with a 63* for Samuel B.
