It has been a successful year for Mount Kelly’s LAMDA pupils at the City of Plymouth Festival. 66 pupils took part in 21 different classes, covering everything from mime to bible reading, prose speaking, poetry duologues, solo verse speaking and acting. There were also novice verse speaking classes for those who had never taken part in a festival before.
With too many outstanding performances to mention them all, here is a list of the first places awarded. Congratulations to everyone involved, and in particular to brothers Thomas and William who won every class that they entered.

Taine – Solo Acting (also awarded the Gerald Nicholas Cup for most promising actor in the festival)
Ella & Charlotte – Senior Poetry Duologue
Nathan – Novice Verse Speaking 9 & 10 years
Flora – Public Speaking
Joshua – Solo Verse Speaking
Ella – Mime 12 to 15 years
Elizabeth – Mime over 15 years
William – Humorous Verse, Public Speaking, Set Poem, Own Choice Poem and Bible Reading
Thomas – Bible Reading, Prose Speaking, Humorous Verse, Set Poem
