Devon Schools Cross Country Championships

Posted: 20th January 2015

Four Mount Kelly athletes travelled to Stover school on Saturday to compete for Plymouth and the West at the Devon Schools Cross Country Championships. Competing on a firm, flat and fast course all runners recorded good performances.

Alex Brijnath, running in his first event at this level finished a very credible 29th in the Year 7 Boys race, Victoria Moore 13th in a high quality Intermediate Girls race, and Beth Watmore 13th in the most competitive race of the day, the Senior Girls. Unfortunately Tasha Farrington had to withdraw from the race before the start due to illness but is under consideration to represent Devon at the South West Schools next month due to excellent performances in previous events.

All athletes performed exceptionally well in some tough races, and represented Mount Kelly with great credit.
