Learning Outside the Classroom

Posted: 11th May 2016

Year 6 pupils had a fantastic time on the two days of their Learning Outside the Classroom Programme in May. Activities including bushcraft, fire building, gorge walking, abseiling, raft building and camping overnight by the River Tavy and at Nun’s Cross (in the middle of Dartmoor) made for a memorable experience.

Learning Outside the Classroom is an integral part of the learning experience for Mount Kelly pupils of all ages – whether it be den building in Nursery Class or the week-long programme offered in Year 10 which incorporates teaching subjects such as History, Geography, Mathematics, Science and Art outdoors.
