MK Dartmoor Expedition

Posted: 23rd March 2015

Thirty brave, strong-willed and determined Mount Kelly pupils challenged themselves to walk long distances over the weekend to complete the Mount Kelly Expedition as part of Ten Tors Training or a Duke of Edinburgh practice qualifying expedition. The gruelling event included getting up at 05:45, coping with frozen tents in the morning chill and walking up to 40km in a day as a team over challenging Dartmoor terrain. The pupils had to dig deep and show real determination to finish the challenge. There will be many be sore feet, and limping wounded walking around the school today! Many congratulations to them all on completing such an arduous challenge.
