Safer Internet Day 2018

Posted: 6th February 2018

Pupils from the Pre-Prep through to the College are participating in Safer Internet Day this week, a nationwide campaign to develop Internet awareness and safety, under this year’s theme ‘Create, Connect and Share Respect: A better Internet starts with you.’

As part of the day, Prep and Pre-Prep pupils were able to enjoy a range of activities led by their tutors, including quizzes, discussion groups and video clips, designed to make them think about how they could make better use of the Internet. By the end of the session, all were able to reflect on how better to create their own digital wellbeing, and how to use the internet to find inspiration and ideas and as a platform to create positivity and kindness.

At the College, pupils discussed the positive uses of technology and the role we can all play to create a better Internet, considering what we do online, the way we behave and communicate and how we should always endeavour to post positive content. They were also invited to enter a competition to come up with a positive Tweet based on the theme, using simple text, an image or a video.
