Summer Works

Posted: 7th September 2017

Whilst the pupils and staff have been on their summer break, our grounds and maintenance team and outside contractors have had a busy schedule, undertaking a large variety of refurbishment and renovation projects across the Foundation.

At the College, Conway House has been fully refurbished and has opened as a Year 9-11 co-educational Day House. The exterior of Newton House has been re-painted and the scaffolding surrounding the the main block is to allow for external work and roof repairs. This has now enabled us to finally renovate the Library which has been transformed and will provide an inspirational place for our pupils to study.  Refurbishment of the Orchard classroom bloc and Parkwood and the Bunkhouses have now also been undertaken.

At the Prep, the exterior face walls and doors of the Stable Yard have been redecorated, as has the outside of Collingwood. The Conservatory refurbishment is now complete, Prep pupils will now each have a locker, and our youngest children at the Pre-Prep are enjoying a fully re-decorated and recarpeted environment.

The traffic lights and pedestrian crossing at Parkwood Road is also now complete and will allow our community and visitors to cross safely. Finally, the College Astro has been resurfaced and we have planning permission to build a half size training pitch alongside.
