Swimming Success

Posted: 16th October 2018

The eagerly anticipated National Arena League Round 1 saw Mount Kelly race in the Premier League for the first time. After an incredibly close battle, Mount Kelly came out on top, taking victory over Millfield School by two points.

All of our swimmers contributed towards this superb team performance, with our newly-appointed swimming captains Oliver Taverner and Athena Clayson leading the team in style. A special mention must go to our Open Freestyle Girls’ team who remained unbeaten throughout all of their events. We are looking forward to Round 2 in November!

On the same weekend, the Plymouth Annual Gala drew to a close after three days of racing across two weekends. 33 swimmers from across the Foundation participated in 241 individual swims, which resulted in 203 Lifetime Best swims. Year 7 pupil, Alice Kinsey, also broke a GB Deaf Swimming Record for the 1500m Freestyle.

Well done to all who raced.
