U13 Rugby 7s IAPS tournament

Posted: 28th March 2015

Well done to the Mount Kelly U13 7s Rugby Team who spent last weekend at Oundle playing in the national IAPS tournament against teams from all over the country. Some very exciting and well-played matches resulted in Mount Kelly being the Runners Up to winning the Plate for this tournament – a very impressive result.

This tournament marked the end of a long season, but one in which Mount Kelly’s team has shown great progress: after the early disappointment of Bryanston, Mount Kelly fought bravely at St Peter’s and were unlucky to lose to the eventual winners Blundell’s. Mount Kelly were the winners of the Plate competition at Blundell’s and they qualified for the Cup Competition at Port Regis for the first time in a number of years after some notable victories. They were runners up at our own Mount Kelly tournament in March and finally, they were Plate runners up at Oundle.
