Wider World Lecture

Posted: 14th September 2017

On Wednesday 13 September, pupils and their families were treated to a fascinating Wider World Lecture by life-long adventurer, film-maker and writer Leon McCarron. Leon’s lecture ‘Walking the Masar: 1000 miles on foot through the heart of the Middle East’ described Leon’s first hand experiences in the Middle East, and demonstrated how people can transcend political divides against all odds.

Leon shared his unique approach to life, inspiring the audience with several of his favourite mottos, including ‘Give without remembering. Take without forgetting’ and ‘Life is too short for second class ambitions’.
