Year 10 LOTC

Posted: 30th June 2017

Our Year 10 pupils travelled to Snowdonia in North Wales for an exciting and action-packed few days of Learning Outside The Classroom.  Based out of Capel Curig Cadet Training Camp, they were involved in a range of activities that truly encompassed the spirit of both learning and adventure in the outdoor environment.  Pupils were challenged physically and mentally with adventurous training activities such as climbing Snowdon, the highest point in Wales, and indoor climbing at the renowned Indy Climbing Centre.  They also challenged themselves academically when they visited a disused copper mine and Nant Gwrtheyrn, a Welsh Language and Heritage Centre.  It was a very busy five days but a trip that was enjoyed thoroughly by all.
