Youth Speaks Competition

Posted: 1st February 2018

Over the last two weeks, pupils from the Prep and College have taken part in the first round of the annual Youth Speaks competition organized by the Rotary club to encourage speaking and presentation skills in young people. We are delighted to announce that teams from Mount Kelly won both the intermediate and senior categories and were joint winners of the junior round.

The winning junior team’s presentation was entitled ‘Is the manbag the new handbag’, whilst the intermediate team chose 'Pushed in Pink: the repercussions of gender stereo-typing' and the senior team presented 'The future of farming'.

The three teams will progress to the district round which will take place in Callington later this month.  We wish them the best of luck.
