Junior Players’ Cricket Round-Up

Posted: 20th May 2016

It has been a busy start to the cricket season at the Prep. Following a programme of winter nets, almost twenty five matches have already taken place from U8 through to U13 and there have been some excellent team and individual performances. Achievements to note include a century against Exeter Cathedral School for Joseph du’Gay (who has also been selected to play for Devon U13 this weekend against Gloucestershire), an innings of 64 from Joe Wheeldon against Shebbear and a bowling hat-trick for Will Hutton against South Dartmoor College. Many of our cricketers are also training and playing for West Devon teams.

Our U12 and U13 teams play this weekend against West Buckland and next week sees our U11 girls play in a West Devon Kwik Cricket competition and our U13 girls play against Exeter School. Our U13 boys are also playing in the quarter final of the Devon Cup against South Dartmoor College. The best of luck to all of our cricketers.
