Dear Parents,
Please note that this form is to be completed for ALL international boarders, regardless of whether they are leaving the UK at half term or remaining in the country. Please submit your requests using this form:
Travel Form | Michaelmas Half Term 2023
More general transport enquiries can be made by email to pupiltravel@mountkelly.com
Please note the following:
The outbound travel departure date is Friday 20 October.
The inbound travel return date is Sunday 5 November.
Travel requests must be submitted by the end of the day on Sunday 1 October.
Unfortunately, requests submitted after the deadline cannot be guaranteed.
Pupils with flight reservations will have priority on the transport, however, should seats be available these can be filled with pupils travelling to and from the South East.
All Heathrow transfers drop off and pickup at Terminal 3. Pupils will be issued, via their Houseparents, with the departure times of the transport.
If possible, on outbound journeys, please book early evening flight departures and, on inbound journeys, early morning flight arrivals.
We ask parents to book any train tickets to arrive at Plymouth train station only.
Please also note that it is impractical for us to communicate travel details to individual parents. Details of travel arrangements are communicated directly to the pupils by their Housemasters and Housemistresses. Therefore, we encourage you to keep in close touch with your sons and daughters to ensure you are aware of what has been arranged for their travel.
Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact: pupiltravel@mountkelly.com
Best wishes,

Pupil Travel Arrangements
Transport to and from the airport is included in the fees for all pupils who live overseas and pay international boarding fees and we ask that parents please book flights which coincide with term dates which can be found here:
All travel requests need to be submitted no later than two weeks before the departure date in order that our Transport Officer can plan the journeys to best fit the needs of all children concerned. A member of staff will usually accompany the children who will travel in School minibuses or with a taxi company who is known to us.
A current pupil on a Student Visa they will also need to complete the Student Visa Form – available from their Housemaster/Housemistress.
On the day of travel:
If a pupil experiences any difficulties they should make contact with their Housemaster/Housemistress by telephone or email. The Housemaster/Housemistress will endeavour to assist, but appointed guardians may need to be involved where there are significant delays or problems which cannot be easily resolved. If it is during the working day (08.00 – 18.00) School reception can also be contacted.
New pupils will be sent the contact details for their Housemaster/Housemistress and the School Chaperone. When booking your travel you will be asked for your child’s mobile phone number so that our team can also contact them if there are any problems. The Travel Team will always follow flight details so they will be aware of any delays and adjust arrangements accordingly.
