Conway House Mount Kelly’s Day House for girls in Years 9-13.

Conway House was refurbished in 2017 and is now a bright, modern and homely environment for all our day girls. With new common rooms, changing facilities and private study areas Conway has never looked better, and we believe that the House is ideally configured to enable your daughters to thrive socially, academically and emotionally.

I would like you to think of Conway, as your ‘place’ and your community within the larger community of Mount Kelly. For me it is important that each and everyone of you sees Conway House as a ‘refuge’ during the day; a happy place which everyone wishes to return to at breaktimes and lunchtimes to relax, socialise, and even to catch up on a prep that is due.

My mantra for the house sits entirely within the Mount Kelly values, and I believe that at the heart of all of them is compassion; showing kindness, tolerance and empathy towards everyone. It is these values that brings everything else together and if we have these values at the forefront of everything we do, we will be a strong community, and that is what I wish Conway House to be.

I am currently Head of Languages at the College and the Conway Housemistress. I will be supported by an Assistant Housemistress and a team of tutors.

We run termly ‘house trips’ in which we hope everyone will be involved whether it be a trip to the cinema, tenpin bowling or a trek on the moor.

I look forward especially to you helping me build a strong, supportive and inclusive environment that is Conway House.
