At Mount Kelly, we are passionate about offering innovative, flexible ways to help pupils shape their futures with confidence. Beyond formal A Level or BTEC courses, our Beyond the Curriculum programme equips pupils with essential life skills and introduces them to the wider world they will soon be navigating, preparing them not just for exams, but for life.
All four elements are compulsory for all members in Year 12.
Year 12 pupils receive expert training in public speaking through LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art). For the first ten weeks of Michaelmas Term, they attend one lesson per week focused on mastering the art of confident communication, with the option to sit a formal LAMDA exam. Following this, workshops sharpen personal presentation, social skills, and professional etiquette, vital tools for any career path. Pupils can continue LAMDA training afterward on a rechargeable basis.
In the first half of Michaelmas Term, Year 12 pupils complete two targeted sessions in Study Skills designed to boost academic success and ease their transition into A Level and BTEC study. Led by EPQ tutors, topics include:
