ASA South West Sprint & Summer Splash

Mount Kelly Swimmers attended the ASA South West Fast 5 Sprint Meet in Gloucester and the Aquae Sulis Summer Splash Meet at Millfield the first weekend of July. 

Mount Kelly swimmers had a fantastic day competing at the ASA South West Fast 5 Sprint Meet in Gloucester on Sunday 3rd July. There were a number of great Personal Best Times for all the swimmers and three overall podium finishes based on total FINA Points with many other Top Ten finishers.  

The results for our swimmers were as follows:

11 + 12 Year Age Group – Olivia Lee – 2nd, Sophie Main – 6th, Isabel Sheil – 31st and Amelia Riggott – 45th,

13 Year Age Group – Claire Murphy – 6th, Elliot Svensson – 8th, Jamie Brew – 24th and Euan Botham – 32nd

14 Year Age Group – Jamie Wavre – 18th and Charlotte Ray – 19th

15 Year Age Group – Tegan Lessey – 3rd

16 Year Age Group – Sasha Wavre – 2nd

 Other Mount Kelly swimmers also had a successful weekend at Millfield for the Aquae Sulis Summer Splash Meet. All eight swimmers gained personal best times in their events and medals were won by:

Alexandra Dennis (11): Gold in the 100, 200 Back, 100, 200 Free. Silver in the 50 Free, 50 Back, 400 Free and Bronze in the 200 IMNicole Dunn (13) Gold in the 200 Breast, Silver in the 200 IM, 100 Breast, 50 Breast, 50 free and 100 Free.

Olivia Godfrey (13) Gold in the 50 free, Silver in the100 free + Bronze in the 50 Back

Charlotte Ray (13) Bronze in the 200 IM
Charlotte Tilney (12) Gold in the 200 Breast and Bronze in the 100 Breast, 400 free + 50 Fly
Hannah Tilney (9) Gold in the 200 Back, Silver in the 200 Free, 50 Fly + Bronze in the 200 Breast
Alice Kinsey (9) Gold in the 100 Breast, 50 Breast, 200 Free, 50 Back, 200 Breast, Silver in the 100 Free, 100 Fly + 50 Free as well as a brilliant County qualifying time in 50 backstroke
