Year 7 LOTC

Our Learning Outside the Classroom (LOTC) programme is now a well-established part of life at Mount Kelly, and brings real enrichment to our pupils’ intellectual journey by combining what they learn in the classroom with their instinctive passion for the outdoors and the natural world.

Pupils were based in a tented camp for the duration, with the option to bivvy out on one night if they wished. The programme this year followed a survival theme, and included activities such as: ? Dissection of a rabbit – Biology, ? Clay Pigeon shooting, ? Bivvy building and fire lighting – CCF, ? Mountain Biking, ? Countryside Art, ? The Jolly Postman Story – English, Perform a musical piece at Buckland Abbey – Music, ? Visit to Buckland Abbey – History, and a ? High Ropes Course.
