On Tuesday 14th March, the Mount Kelly Concert Society was delighted to welcome the Chamber Philharmonic of Europe to the College for a concert of music for string orchestra. The varied programme included music by Mozart, Faure and Bach and featured a rarely heard trumpet concerto by Hummel. The trumpet featured again one of the encore numbers, Tango Oblivion by Argentinian composer Piazzola. The event was a joint promotion between the Concert Society and Tavistock Rotary Club in aid of the Tavistock Community Sensory Garden. Well over £500 was raised on the evening for this very good cause.
