Friday night was music night in the Wortham Hall with the first concert of the new school year, featuring music from scholars and staff from across the Foundation. We were delighted to be entertained by our new scholars, in particular Jonathan Hibbs (violin), William Hutton (trumpet) and Anna Mokhovik (piano), who performed for the first time at the school since gaining their awards.
The staff contingent was also strong with new Head of Keyboard, Miss Mariko North, challenging the audience with some excellent contemporary piano music by Gerald Barry. Mrs Bianca Philips completed the evening with a memorable rendition of "Taylor the Latte Boy", a wonderful comic song which had the boarders singing as they returned to their dorms.
