Foundation Steeplechase

Posted: 19th April 2018

The annual Foundation Steeplechase took place on the final day of the Lent term to raise funds for Sport Relief. Pupils from across the Foundation, parents and staff braved the inclement weather conditions to raise in excess of £600 for the charity through race donations and the sale of refreshments organised by the Mount Kelly Parents’ Association.

Up to 300 pupils, from Year 3 through to Sixth Form, took part in the challenging cross country route which ranged from 1.5 to 5 kilometres in length and involved a variety of terrains and inclines.  This year also saw the first water splash section for our older pupils.

Fry took the House Cup with an impressive 133 points, and the afternoon’s events concluded with a formal presentation of medals.
