A mark of the gradual restoration of normality is the return of the mock examinations for Year 13 this week.
Pupils taking A level papers in the summer have had a chance to check their progress and remind themselves what it feels like to work to the clock for two or even three hours at a time. There is some way to go for most courses, and there will be many practice essays and timed assignments over the next four months, but this was an important milestone in the pupils’ preparation.
Year 11 pupils can look forward to their mock exams straight after half term.
