With the final deadline for 2024 UCAS applications rapidly approaching, we are pleased to have been able to support a record number of applications to universities from our current Year 13 pupils, and a quarter of them have already received offers from all five of their choices. These include offers to study Film at Metfilm, Psychology at Durham and Stirling, Economics at York, Manchester and Queen’s Belfast, Liberal Arts at Durham, Mathematics at Exeter, Biochemistry at Nottingham, Biological Science and Sport Technology at Loughborough, Civil and Environmental Engineering at Cardiff, Accounting and Finance at Bath, Pharmacy at Newcastle, French Studies at the University of London Institute in Paris and Classics at Warwick.
We have also had pupils busy preparing for interviews for Medicine, Pharmacy and Radiography this year, with two pupils successful gaining places on Pharmacy at Cardiff and Medicine and Aberdeen. Outside of the UCAS process, a number of pupils have applied overseas, including universities in the USA, Hong Kong and Europe. One pupil has gained a place on the exciting Forward College Data Analytics degree course (awarded by the University of London) for the third year in a row, whilst another has reached the final round of interviews for the prestigious Morehead Cain Scholarship which provides a fully funded educational experience for exceptional student leaders at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
