Kinesthetic Learning with European partners

Posted: 9th March 2017

Mount Kelly has been successful in winning a grant award by the European Union to take part in a research project involving kinesthetic methods of teaching and learning. This project is in collaboration with schools in Lithuania, Romania, Portugal, Cyprus and Turkey.

In February, teachers from these five countries came to MK to take part in a conference hosted by us where we provided the training, and shared good practise in, this aspect of pedagogy. Each of the visitors were enthused by all they saw, but were especially enamoured by the quality of teaching and learning; the professionalism of the staff and the conduct and demeanour of our pupils. One of the presentations they particularly enjoyed was a demonstration from Nathan and Benjaming, members of the Prep Robotics club.

The project will conclude in July 2018 when teachers from these five countries return to Mount Kelly to compile their report.
