Armistice Bonfire

Posted: 12th November 2018

After the signing of the Armistice on 11 November 1918, boys and staff from Mount House returned to the school and built a colossal bonfire to mark the start of peace after the First World War.

Having had to postpone bonfire night last week, today was a poignant opportunity to mark the centenary of the Armistice with a similar act of thankfulness to those that gave their lives and to the end of hostilities. Our youngest pupil in the Prep lit the bonfire at 16:15 this afternoon with pupils, staff and parents present.
