The Senior rugby team enjoyed a superb tour to Ireland at the start of the Christmas holidays. The trip began with a tour of Ulster Rugby and an excellent training session at Queen’s University with Brian Mclaughlin, former Ulster Rugby Head Coach. The first day was finished off with a great performance against Instonians RFC, resulting in a 33-7 win for Mount Kelly.
Day two included a cross-curricular trip to the Giant’s Causeway, before a fantastic game of schoolboy rugby against Grosvenor Grammar School in cold conditions which lead to a tremendous 19-0 victory for Mount Kelly.
Two wins from two matches on tour was the perfect way for our Upper Sixth players to finish their XV career at Mount Kelly, and created a fitting send off for Head of Rugby, Mr Reyburn.
