It was wonderful to see the return of our informal concert programme at the Prep last week. Our Middle Prep musicians gave a delightful concert to their peers on Wednesday afternoon, followed another fabulous performance by the Lower Prep on Thursday. There were pianists, vocalists, violins, flutes, cellos, a saxophone and a recorder, with the programme including music from Beethoven to Katy Perry and everything in between!
Our Year 7 and 8 musicians rounded off the series this week with a wonderful concert which featured performances on the drums, electric guitar, trumpet, flute, clarinet and violin, as well as the piano and vocalists. The programme included a cover of Can’t Stop by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, a rousing rendition of Bourrée by Hasse on the trumpet and Can You Feel the Love Tonight? on the violin. There were some super vocal performances and the pianists were all on top form.
