World Book Day 2021

Posted: 4th March 2021

World Book Day was celebrated with a touch of mystery this year. Pupils were treated to a Mystery Reader Quiz, with impressive deduction skills demonstrated by all. Our resident biology teacher was received particularly well, with a perfectly positioned book by David Attenborough, whilst Mr Lamb’s passion for Exeter chiefs gave the game away; our pupils certainly know their teachers!

Pupils were also engaged in creating ‘Book Art’, either as an individual or as part of a group, and healthy discussion around their choices of genre, their most admired authors, and of course, favourite books of all time ensued. A ‘Secret Reader’ in Lower Prep amused us all with a recital of Baa Baa Black Sheep – as a cat – and staff and pupils got into the spirit of dressing up as characters – at least from the waist up!
