Our volunteering programme has started up again this term, with pupils in Years 9 and 10 helping in outdoor activities such as weeding the Parish gardens and Yelverton play park, litter-picking in Tavistock, and working in Mount Kelly’s Market Garden which donates produce to the Food Bank.
The Market Gardeners have been planting leeks, strawberries, brassicas and beans this week. The greenhouse seedlings are growing well and – fingers crossed – it seems that the newly-finished rabbit proof fencing is holding up!
