A Level Geography Field Trip

Posted: 17th June 2021

On Monday and Tuesday this week, Year 12 Geographers undertook a field trip to Bristol and the Brecon Beacons.

Pupils investigated ‘place’ and urban redevelopment in the city, spending time in the bohemian district of Montpellier before heading down to the old dockland area which has been the scene of much of Bristol’s regeneration efforts.

A trip over the border followed and an evening spent writing up the day’s work and enjoying a BBQ in the sun. Tuesday brought wall-to-wall sunshine and perfect conditions to spend time investigating and interpreting the glacial landscape of the Brecon Beacons.
