Charity Cabaret Night

Posted: 21st March 2022

Just days before lockdown began in March 2020 we presented our first Charity Cabaret Night in aid of Surfers Against Sewage, the School charity for that year. It has been a very quiet two years for live performance, but we were delighted to present a mini festival of music in aid of the Tavistock Memory Cafe on Friday evening.

There were three separate stages featuring excellent performances from pupils and professionals. The pupil Little Big Band played a selection of music from the 1960s, with a focus on famous film music, the singer/songwriter stage hosted Year 11 pupil, Eric, who performed a selection of his own material to great acclaim, and finally the centre stage featured our trumpet teacher and local jazz musician, Sam Massey, and his trio with an eclectic mix of standards.

It was a full house and every seat was taken and valuable funds (and awareness) raised for the work of the Tavistock Memory Cafe.
