Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Expedition

Students on their walk

At the weekend 52 Year 9 pupils headed out into the Tamar Valley for their final assessment walk for the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Conditions were perfect and the routes testing, but manageable for all. Our pupils worked well within their teams showing great leadership and teamwork skills, and supporting each other through the highs and lows of the walk. Despite some groups getting navigationally misplaced at times, they all completed the walk and feel a great sense of achievement. For the majority of pupils this is the final section for them to sign off for their Bronze award and are now ready to move on to Silver when they return to school in September.
