Five Year 11 pupils represented last year’s market gardeners by taking the produce that they had planted to the Tavistock Foodbank this week.
All of the produce was grown in the market garden by pupils who volunteered their time as part of their Duke of Edinburgh award. Through hard work and care they managed to grow pumpkins, sweetcorn, carrots and apples which were gratefully received by the foodbank and will be distributed to those in need. Our new Year 10 pupils will continue to grow produce for this endeavour.
