Rural Rebranding

Posted: 10th February 2023

Year 12 A Level Geographers visited the Eden Project this week, as part of their Changing Places rural rebranding module. Attracting more than 20 million visitors since it opened in 2001, employing over 375 staff, and its multiplier effect of £2.2 billion on the local economy, the Eden Project can be considered a significant boost to the regional economy.

Pupils attended a lecture on Rural Rebranding and Sustainability and explored the biomes for some cross curricular education.

They also visited the sustainable village of West Carglaze to understand how affordable housing projects are being developed to help the local community and encourage further regeneration in the west country.
